Working across timezones

Distance is not the constraint

Most of an engineering engagement is asynchronous by nature. Work happens in repositories, in issues, in pull requests and in written decisions — all of which are timezone-agnostic and leave a record that a colleague in another region can pick up.

We work with clients across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. We deliberately do not default to a single overlapping window, because requiring your team to be awake when we are is a tax with no benefit.

How we work across regions

  • Written by default. Decisions and context go into your repository and your documentation, not into a call that only three people heard.
  • Your working hours. Scheduled sessions are arranged around your team's day, not ours.
  • Overlap where it counts. Live time is used for genuinely collaborative work — design, incident response, difficult trade-offs — not for status updates.
  • Handover is a deliverable. Documentation is written as we go, so a change of team or region is never a single point of failure.
  • Timezone-aware on-call. For managed services, cover is agreed explicitly in writing rather than assumed.

What makes this work

A shared repository, a named technical contact on your side who can answer questions, and an honest note of any constraint we should know about. That is genuinely all — a first conversation helps, but it is not a prerequisite for us looking at the problem.

What happens next

After you send this

1. We read it properly

Your message goes to an engineer rather than a sales queue, and you will hear back within one business day.

2. A short call

Thirty minutes to understand the setup and the problem. No slides, and no obligation on either side.

3. Honest scoping

You get a written summary of what we think the problem is and how we would approach it. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
